As this double CD illustrates, Sturm und Klang works with composers who are already widely recognized, stimulating projects, commissions and the circulation in Belgium and abroad of a rich collection of works.
Each Sturm und Klang concert is a celebration of living musical creation, each program proposed is a challenge that testifies today to the taste for risk, for surpassing oneself, for the audacity of its musicians, and all of this in a time that poses above all as a challenge the simple fact of existing. "On the edge" is the fragile and tightrope position, but essential in the crossing of our time, that all the artists gathered here assume. The Ensemble Sturm und Klang and its conductor Thomas Van Haeperen, major players in Belgian creative music, have from the outset apprehended a large number of new works through interpretations whose relevance and precision have proved over the years to be equal to their unfailing artistic commitment.

Comme l’illustre ce double disque, Sturm und Klang chemine au long cours avec les compositrices et compositeurs déjà largement reconnus en stimulant les projets, les commandes et la circulation en Belgique et à l’étranger d’une riche collection d’œuvres. 
Chaque concert de Sturm und Klang est une fête de la création musicale vivante, chaque programme proposé est un défi qui témoigne aujourd’hui du goût du risque, du dépassement, de l’audace de ses musiciens et musiciennes, et tout cela dans un temps qui pose avant tout comme pari le simple fait d’exister. « Sur le fil », c’est la position fragile et funambule, mais essentielle dans la traversée de notre temps, qu’assument tous les artistes rassemblés ici. L’Ensemble Sturm und Klang et son chef Thomas Van Haeperen, acteurs majeurs de la musique de création en Belgique, ont d'emblée appréhendé un grand nombre d’œuvres nouvelles par des interprétations dont la pertinence et la précision se sont révélées au fils des ans à la hauteur d’un engagement artistique sans faille.
